Art History app is a mock product for local art gallery
developed with such users in mind who are artists,
art lovers and art students. The app allows the users to
explore the gallery virtually.
Project Duration: Overall 4 weeks.
Busy schedule and lack of art galleries in the nearby areas restrict art lovers, artists, art students to physically visit art galleries to study art history.
Create an app (android users) for local areas in India that will help art enthusiasts, artists and students study art history from the comfort of their home virtually without visiting the art gallery physically.
UX researcher, UX designer
User interviews, conducting surveys, creating empathy
map, develop personas, preparing user
stories, building user journey map and user flow,
defining problem statement, affinity mapping, competitive analysis,
wireframe, lo-fi prototype, hi-fi prototype.
Art students, art enthusiasts, artists.
I conducted remote (online) interviews, secondary interviews and surveys to understand our users
and their needs, while conducting interview identified the primary users.
Our primary users are art enthusiasts, art students, artists with an age group of 15 + years. Not
only managing time is a concern for the users to visit art galleries but lack of availabilities of such
galleries is also a concern for the users.
During the COVID pandemic, it's not that easy to conduct face to face interviews. The target users are not tech savvy as well. Still managed to conduct the research work based on the followings:
Interviews, Open surveys, Competitive Research, Create Personas, Create User Journey Map, Define Problem Statement, Create Wire-frames, Create Lo-fi Prototypes, Conduct Usability Study.
Unable to manage time to visit art gallery physically.
Not comfortable of using complex applications both web and mobile and not all have personal computers.
The idea of creating paper wireframes is to complete the wireframes as quickly as possible.
Created a Lo-fi and hi-fi digital wireframes as well. At the early design phase while creating the registration screen as a part of the wireframe for the first time, though there was a confirmation message post registration it was not clear to most of the users while conducting usability testing.
Once digital wireframes and lo-fi prototyping were created, I finally proceeded mockups. Based on usability analysis and insights I needed to go for a couple of changes in the mockups as well.
THANK YOU FOR SPENDING YOUR VALUABLE TIME AND WATCHING THE CASE STUDY!
